Living Spaces
Central to downstairs as is a large reception hall beautifully furnished with armchairs, writing desk and ornate gold mirrors. It is a warm welcome to the lodge and a offers a space where groups can meet ahead of excursions out.
The lounge area is spacious yet cosy and furnished to accommodate larger groups. Relax on the comfy leather sofas and unwind socialising with friends or find a quiet corner and choose a book from the well-stocked library. You will also find a selection of games and puzzles to keep you entertained. On cooler evenings you can enjoy a log fire adding to the ambience and creating an evening to remember.
The piano & TV lounge is a real treat. For those who like to tinkle the ivories please feel free to play our treasured baby grand piano and gather around for a traditional sing song! There is an extensive DVD collection so get out the popcorn and catch a movie on the 50-inch flat screen TV with Freesat and DVD player. There is also a retro video games console to enjoy.
Cooking & Dining
If you love cooking there is an excellent well-equipped kitchen - 2 electric ovens, 5 ring gas hob, 2 ring electric hob, steam oven and 3 microwaves. There is plenty of fridge and freezer space and a dishwasher. Central is the kitchen table with seating for 6-8 guests to chat and keep you company while you cook. If you want a special meal without the fuss and washing up, we can recommend chefs who will prepare a celebratory diner to order. A highlight of the lodge is the magnificent dining room with its long table that can seat up to 28 people. Behind secret doors off the dining room you will find the hidden bar -not stocked!
Bedrooms
After a long day of walking, exploring and socialising you can retire to one of 14 spacious bedrooms with private en-suite facilities. All beds are King-size, Super King-size or twin and are made up with fresh linen on arrival. Two of the larger rooms can have a z-bed added to accommodate a further guest and a travel cot is available upon request. Downstairs there is a bedroom with disabled access and its own living room area. Most en-suites have a bath and over-head shower, toiletries and fresh towels are provided.

Gardens & Grounds
To the front of the lodge is a good sized all-weather lawned area with stylish rattan furniture, perfect for enjoying alfresco refreshments. Opening up from two sets of French doors is a covered decking area with benches-ideal for changing out of muddy boots after a good walk. A BBQ is provided along with firelighters and charcoal. There is a large carpark to the side of the lodge with ample parking spaces.
